The students are overseen by a trained chef and turn out some high end well presented dishes. Three courses for £18 is very good value and the drinks were inexpensive too. Great if you are staying at the Titanic Hotel as its only a few minutes walk away.
Excellent food and an opportunity to help students with their courses. If you are there when they are serving then would recommend trying them. Prices are excellent including wines.
I've just had a lovely rocket and mushroom tagliatelle at the Linen Lounge, and it was just beautiful. All the staff were attentive and friendly, and I will definitely be back!
The Line Lounge is a restaurant located within Belfast Met, where hospitality students cook and serve under expert supervision. The atmosphere is charming, relaxed, and welcoming. The background music is kept at a pleasant volume, allowing for easy conversation at the table. The food is of top quality, as it is overseen by a qualified chef who ensures a high standard. The menu may be limited, offering around three choices for each course, but it provides a good variety. At £15 for three courses, the value is exceptional. The option to add tea, coffee, or a bottle of wine from the licensed restaurant enhances the dining experience. The tables are elegantly laid out with white tablecloths, giving an upscale touch. The service provided by the student waitstaff, under the close supervision of Susan, is excellent. Despite their lack of experience, they are attentive and eager to please. I highly recommend dining at The Line Lounge, especially on a Thursday evening (be sure to arrive early as it closes at 9pm) for a fantastic meal and unbeatable value. This restaurant deserves a 5-star rating.
We have been supporting the students for a few years now and the food is always great. It is a teaching restaurant so expect the students to be a bit nervous at the start of the year and a few mistakes may happen. But that how the students learn, from their mistakes. The service is attentive and and the students are keen to please. The menu is small but changes every few weeks so repeat visits are a must. The restaurant is located off the ground floor reception area of the college so is easily accessible. So if you are in the area (SSE Arena or the Titanic centre) pop in the students will make your visit welcoming. We have not been disappointed with the standard of food served, cooked perfectly with full of flavours. The restaurant is highly recommend
