Bidrage med feedbackGood Alentejan food, friendly service, popular with locals and very cheap. Although the special dish I wanted was not on the menu, the ingredients were present in the dishes on the menu. So I asked if the pig Alentejo was available with shells. A smile and the order was there! Delicious as the house wine and dessert. Very recommended for good traditional food and a warm welcome.
Came here to Sunday dinner, only could find place was open. it was full, clear where they took the family for Sunday. it was great. had an excellent rice and seafood dish, with a certain distinguishable white victor and a local dessert. service was fast and friendly. I recommend it. not 5 stars on some wise, but a pleasant meal in very cozy places
The restaurant is located in the centre of Beja. Food was good, Cabidela rice was very good and tasteful, the amount served more than we could eat. Service was fast and staff was very helpful.
Was pleasantly surprised. for lunch we have a flat steak and pommes, the type of steak that is usually hard and tasteless. this was tender and had a delicious spicy earthy taste. the grilled pork was also very delicious.
Ate here early one night with my wife, there were two other couples eating. Waiter placed some cured ham and cheese on our table, if we weren't hungry we would have sent them back. Tip: if you don't want the appetisers send them back (politely),...they aren't expensive anyway, if you do eat them. My wife ordered cod (bacalhau), which came with potatoes and Brussel sprouts. I ordered, pork with pippies and chips (carne de porco a Alentejana). Both meals were delicious. In hindsight we should have shared just one meal, so that we could have fitted in desserts. By the time we left, the restaurant was quite full. Reasonably priced, tasty meal, what more can you ask for!
