The Provenance - BEECHWORTH

What an amazing food experience !! From the moment we arrived until 2.5 hrs later when we left. Greeted at the enormous door and led into a great dinning room. Next to the converted bank vault/cellar. Staff were wonderful in explaining all 18 courses and attentive to our drink needs. The presentation of wonderful colours/textures and flavours was truly amazing. Thankyou to the staff and especially Michael for showcasing the local food and flavours. All six of us had a sensational food experience. If you are in Beechworth, do yourself a favour and enjoy !!

Located in an old bank with a large and comfortable dining room the Japanese inspired food is cLever and delicious. We would definitely recommend the matched wines though the wine list has a great range of local, Australian and imported wines. A must if you are visiting Beechworth.

Brilliant balanced food served in a very refined but not too stuffy ambiance. Are with the family and everyone agreed it was there favourite meal for ages. Beautiful Japanese flavours

Provenance was somewhere we have been looking forward to visiting for a long time, and overall the degustation menu did not disappoint. The octopus and duck ham were rather chewy and flavourless, not up to the expected standard, but otherwise delicious food, and a very beautiful environment. Just one thing that really marred the evening was the truly awful music. ‘ Hits’ from the 1960’s like The Pink Panther theme, and various crooners were just annoying. Don’t forget that music is an art form too, and creates or breaks an atmosphere.

We stayed in the Managers Residence which is above the restaurant, and dined last weekend. It was an AWESOME get-away !! The best we have ever had. The accommodation was heritage luxury. The 17 course Japanese inspired food was superb. At times we had the incredible aromas from the kitchen wafting upstairs, mmmm. This is the perfect special occasion romantic adventure. Put it on your bucket list.
