El Picante Mexican Grill - Bedford

Will never be tired of the food at this place. one of the best options in bedford either to eat or to take. amazing tasty eating, beautiful and cozy place and good service. the original owner was julio (he is Mexican and they can. definitiw taste authenticity in mealtimes. I have tried many different Mexican restaurants before, but nothing has ever come near it. super recomended!

During the bank holiday weekend, I was searching for some authentic Mexican near Milton Keynes and stumbled upon this restaurant via Google search. After seeing the menu and reading some of the reviews from both Google and Tripadvisor, i decided to book us in for...a visit. The place is quite easy to find on one of the high streets in a nice little spot. As it was close to cinco de Mayo, there were some offers available for which the missus opted for chilli con carne. I decided on the lamb enchilada with a side order of habanero chicken wings (which the nice lady serving us was surprised I opted for not realising I'm a spice connoisseur). The food was ample, filling and very delicious; and with the setup of the place, you are able to see what is being prepared. The njce lady host (whom I'll get her name next time) was very hospitable and engaging, adding a little bit of personality and fun to our dinning experience Definitely a hotspot as there were continuous patrons ordering takeaways and collections. Highly recommended for those who love Mexican cuisine.

It was filling, I had a Tortas with grilled chicken. I had to take half of it home. The puddings looked nice but I was full.

Great food and service i ordered the Sizzling Fajitas and Potato Wedges. Portion sizes are very good. Also had the Churros Delight, which is slightly overpriced but was delicious. Would deffo recommend can't wait to go back! As a vegetarian i would say...the options are very good

The food is lovely and the service is great. The atmosphere is lively and the owner clearly loves what she’s doing, which is a great sign. The owner served us and we found her incredibly friendly. Our 2 boys loved chatting to her. She recommended...us some dishes as we weren’t sure about what to have. I had Burrito bowl and my partner had Burrito in a wrap. There’s different spice levels to choose from which was great. Flavours were amazing and the best part was everything was cooked in a kitchen which you can see through. So theres no hiding there, everything cooked from scratch. My partner after eating half of his burrito found a chewy bit of chicken somewhere in the middle and the owner kindly offered to replace the whole plate for him. Obviously we didn’t get it replaced but I found the owner’s gesture very considerate. We had churros to share as dessert. Best ones I have ever had. Not sickly sweet and so crisp. I could go back again just to bury my face in those delicious churros!! Overall we had a great experience and felt welcomed. We both agreed that this place is a hidden gem and would love to visit again. We have already recommended it to all our friends.
