Bidrage med feedbackI ordered the Veggie Grill appetizer. Did you know this place is a ghost kitchen? I got a burrito from here and a sandwich from VG. The burrito and salsa were really delicious!!! I'll definitely order from here again, especially if I get the takeover from VG at the same time. And of course, I forgot to take a picture.
I was eager to try their nachos, but it's unfortunate that they are only available for delivery and not for pick-up. After placing another order and trying several new dishes, I must say that nothing compared to the delicious Tejano-style burrito. I wanted to order nachos again, but they weren't listed as an option during my recent order. I sampled the chipotle carnitas taco, and it was just okay—not very flavorful. The spice level was definitely there, but it lacked the depth of flavor I enjoy in spicy dishes. Instead of a rich taste, it felt more like a mild heat. The tortilla chips weren't great, and the guacamole tasted similarly bland, much like the chipotle carnitas, which might explain why. I also tried the Mexican-style rice, which is usually one of my favorites, but it didn't impress me this time; it was just kind of bland. My wife ordered the crispy Baja fish taco, and while she liked the flavor, it wasn't crispy at all. The Tejano-style taco tasted really good! It had the same ingredients as the burrito, and I'm glad to see them work well in taco form. Overall, the ingredients didn't seem particularly fresh, and out of everything I tried, the Tejano-style burrito was the only dish I would consider ordering again. However, even then, I think I'd be more inclined to choose Chipotle, especially when considering the delivery fees from Mas Veggies Taqueria. I recently visited Veggie Grill and was informed that I could only place my order through a third-party service. Boo! However, the food at their restaurant is consistently fantastic!
I had to visit Veggie Grill, and I found out that you can only place orders through a third party. What a bummer! However, their food is always fantastic!
I placed another order and tried several new items. I must say, nothing was as delicious as the Tejano-style burrito. I wanted to order the nachos, but they weren’t listed as an option that day. The Chipotle carnitas taco was just okay—it lacked flavor. The spiciness came through, but the heat didn’t have the depth of flavor that I usually enjoy in spicy food. Instead, it tasted somewhat bland with just a hint of spice. The tortilla chips were not impressive and the guacamole had the same issue as the chipotle carnitas—blandness (and there was guacamole on the taco, which might have contributed to that). As for the rice and beans, Mexican-style rice and beans are usually among my favorites, but this time they were just alright—not bad, but pretty bland. My wife tried the crispy Baja fish taco; she said the fish was tasty, but it wasn’t crispy at all. On a positive note, the Tejano-style taco was delicious! It contained the same ingredients as the burrito, and I was happy to see it work well in taco form. Overall, the ingredients did not seem particularly fresh, and of everything I tried, the Tejano-style taco and burrito were the only dishes I would consider ordering again. However, given the delivery costs, I’d probably opt for Chipotle instead. This is an update from my previous rating on July 30, 2021.
