Boriken - Beaverton

This is the best Puerto Rican food west of the Mississippi River! I’m here with Lee and Juan enjoying some super food. We ordered something you can only get in Puerto Rico and probably parts of New York City and here. It’s called, Carne de cerdo, a can can pork chop dish. The chops include the loin, belly and skin. The three best parts. And we ordered pechunga ajjillo, chicken breast in garlic sauce. Juan ordered 2 Empanadillas De Pollo and 4 Bacalaitos Fritos. And of course we had Dona Awi’s Salsa criolla hot hot sauce and her pique artesanal, The homemade sauce that never needs refrigeration. Most all families and restaurants in Puerto Rico have their special family salsa they make that is always special and unique only to that Casa. I also ordered a mirror Pond pale ale and a glass of Shiraz. The food here is very unique very special and highly recommended!! Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.

There were 3 of us: all familiar with Puertorican food. Service was excellent. Food delicious; we tried 3 different plates: chuleta kan kan, pollo with garlic and churrasco. Also tried 5 of the appetizers ;alcapurrias, pasteles, stuffed tostones, corn Sorullos and pastelillos de carne. Plus rice and beans. For dessert we tried flan, quesitos and pastelillos de guayaba. All great food. We liked it sooo much that we took home frozen pasteles, pastelillos and alcapurrias. The envirorment was beautiful for a small testaurant. The pictures on the walls brought tears to me eyes and made me homesick. We will for sure return and will bring friends. How couldn't I not know this place was here sooner!!!!!????? Thank you!

My wife and I had one of the best food experiences we've ever had at Boriken. The food was so good, we can't wait to go back! And the service? It was even better. Have the TriFongo. Have some surullitos. Get maduros in your life. Add a little pique sauce and feel good about life. When you're done eating, order some of the best coffee in town. Enjoy the beautiful atmosphere in the restaurant and go back to do it all over again. I'm very thankful this restaurant is here. My wife and I will be back soon enough.

A delightful experience. We were up for something new and found it here. Great food even though it was new to our taste buds. A must go place.

This is a great little place. Food is wonderful, staff are friendly and patient and atmosphere is welcoming. We’ve been there several times and will go back. Puerto Rican food is different from what I expected and I look forward to trying new items when I’m there. Boriken does not disappoint.
