Bidrage med feedbackSome of the reviews here are scathing, so I wasn’t sure what to expect but my meal was really nice. It was pricy by France standards but average by USA standards. The service was great, I felt welcomed and comfortable in every way. I had...a starter, main and 1 glass of white wine. I sat on the outside terrace by the water. It was lovely. They brought out an unexpected amuse bouche of a gougère and cheese foam, yummy! I had the foie gras starter, and it was a perfect!!! Finally, in France I get fresh cooked, pan seared foie gras. It was served on top of cooked pears with a pan jus drizzled on top. Divine! I ordered the riz de veau, or Sweetbreads, for my main. They were crispy and pan cooked, and served with a few veggies, it could have had a few more veggies on the plate but otherwise it was wonderful. I loved my meal! I then wandered back through the lovely lit up streets of Beaulieu back to my Airbnb.
A perfect meal at the Dordogne river. Nice terrasse. Very nice choice of food and wine. Some delicious dishes. Really worth the visit.
The decor is not enough, nor is the staff intern who wishes to include a reference in france. Indeed, the dish of the day of 18.08.2017 included eggs mimosas (a very large disproportionate plate for a trio of 3 eggs) and a place net in papillote frozen on several tables. It seemed to be a breakdown of the oven probe!, the next time we will find a better restaurant less decor but more attentive to the customers.
We order 3 gourmet menus with 3 champagne cups to start. We didn't have time to take advantage of the aperitif, because the entrances arrived as we had not finished. It's a shame because the kitchen is good and the setting on the edge of a pleasant dordun. The boss I made the remark was not moved more than that!
During my stays in correze several times a year for more than 10 years I have lunch with friends at f b. we found a noticeable decrease in the quality of the products served, hidden by a beautiful highlight of them by the cook we are in a privileged region or the foie gras for example served in entry (32€) was all except the liver in the dordogne there are trouts, brochets, sandre seen shrimp that could replace advantageously dorade etc. I hope that my next visit I would be surprised
