This place has some absolutely amazing things to it: - First love the vibedark and modern with some brightness to ityouthful and classy.
I wish I could give this restaurant 10 starsThis is my favorite restaurant in the world.
Some of the food was fine. Other dishes really didn't work. Opted for the matching wines which was a terrible mistake. More overpriced than I've experienced even in top Michelin star restaurants. Were given *tiny* glasses of each wine, then left for long periods of time with nothing but water - over an hour in total sat at the table with a glass of water. If you like drinking water then I would highly recommend. Has potential but really not there yet.
I heard about this place and just wanted to make an effort to get here. It's a "set menu" of sorts but apparently it varies even day by day depending on what they have available. They do cater for dietary requirements though, which I found good to know. I guess it might not be everyone's cup of tea, there are some pretty "whacky" foods brought out but I found everything delicious. Inspiring and refreshingly different. It's quite small, but cosy with a great atmosphere. Wonderful welcome at the door. Bit of chat and time to relax and settle in, meantime the room is buzzing as several diners were already there and being served. There's about 4 wait people and they move around with the grace of dancers. In fact it is like watching a show as they progress to the next course at each table. I found it fascinating to listen in. First "course" is overwhelming ....... one dish comes out and is explained, then another dish, another explanation, another dish, another explanation. Your head goes into a whirl and I lose place of where I am at. At least 10 or 11 small dishes are brought out - presented to you like a piece of theatre. I loved just about all of them, even the dehydrated cabbage leaf filled with pickled veg (it really was delicious). Possibly my least favourite was the fermented foods and the kambucha. Dish after dish was served - too many to remember - and truly at the end you are extremely full. I ended up taking the caramel toffee home with me (which is served wrapped just for the purpose so I guess most people end up doing that) I thought it was amazing value for a degustation value at $100. Loved it and would thoroughly recommendPS make sure you book and allow yourself plenty of time as it covers quite a few hours.
