Bidrage med feedbackJust dined here. Excellent. Fantastic local dishes, excellent portions, superb price/value - €19 for three courses. Waiter was fantastically helpful and attentive (and English speaking) in spite of running the bar and a full restaurant single handedly. Go. You won't be dissapointed
We booked a table at this tiny but atmospheric restaurant in Bayonne when visiting the area with friends . Only seven tables and one chap serving we thought would prove interesting ! We were really surprised at how well the the experience was orchestrated . The food and portions were great , fresh fish locally caught and beautifully cooked and the best panacotta tasted outside Italy .Good value three course set meal at 17 euros the only criticism was the cost of the House wine which proved more expensive than the cheapest on the menu and although we challenged it got nowhere .
After the Bayonne Market the last Saturday of November we found a nice lunch menu at a tiny 7 table restaurant called Le P'Tit St Pierre with a woman serving and a man cooking. At first felt a little strange (arrived just past noon) as was empty then just after we were seated both the server and the cook left bearing large plates of delicious looking appetizers (but they did come back a few minutes later). Then the wine was only available by the bottle, and most of it Spanish - but what my husband ordered was really very nice. For 16E I had Salad Gourmand (very meaty), Duck Confit on a bed of 'fresh' tomato pepperade with fries (excellent) and chocolate brownie bomb with ice cream & warm salted caramel (excellent). My husband had the same 16E menu with Goat cheese salad, Squid and fries and the same dessert. BTW, after half hour the place was full. This meal was an amazing treat, we were really lucky to have chosen it blind. Great value - I would definitely come back and definitely recommend.
Really liked the food. Value for money was good. We had the calamari and the fish. The chocolat cake with caramel sauce and ice cream was sensational. Unfortunately the waiter was the worst we ever had in The area. Uninterested in the service, running out to have a chat and a cigarette with his friends every few minutes while the restaurant was packed. Unfriendly and very occupied -obviously not with the service nor to help the poor cook who was totally alone in the kitchen trying to get the food prepared. Get rid of this appalling waiter and get a little help in the kitchen and this restaurant could be a gold mine!
