La Carreta Bluebonnet - Baton Rouge

The Bluebonnet site WAS my favorites until today. I wrote a note for the kitchen that informed them that the quality of the food was not as good as it is normally. I didn't leave a tip. The waitress HAD THE NERVE asks me why I didn't give her a tip! Well... it's my right and open, if the food had been better, I would have left one. Since this experience, I will NOT remain at this point. The only tip I have for this waitress is to search both ways before crossing the road and I will tell ALL OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY about my experience and make sure they don't spend their money at the BLUEBONNET site!!!

Great event, also surprised that they have open table reservations. I made a reservation for 11 people at 7:45PM, which was quite surprising for a busy weekend.... they definitely did not expect us to show up, but I give them credit as they had us at 8:00. Great job to the manager so it happens.

Upon arrival, the reservation made outside on the terrace was furnished inside and we were told that there would be no table available on the terrace because they were so busy. After the explanation that we had made the reservation a week ago, he saw it up and safe enough it was made for the terrace! We sat about 15 minutes after our scheduled reservation... About 20 minutes and we haven't seen a server yet! After complaining to the hostess, a server came by and took our drinks and food orders.... About 45 minutes later MOST got her food. The rest had to be taken home because everything was done eating. The manager came by and took 50% of the bill, but was very sloppy as if it was my fault!

We celebrated Mother's Day this visit. Our server was nice. Our food was great. My 5 year old is picky but she even ate all her food. Thats all a mother could ask. Nice dining.

We booked reservations for a large group- 17, and they were very accommodating. When there was a mix-up because of reservations for someone with the same name, they quickly put together tables to seat us quickly. Many members of our party didn't realize there were any issues. The food was good as always, and it was a fun atmosphere with good service.
