Bidrage med feedbackMy wife and I dined here for her birthday. Excellent service. Food was terrific. We had escargot and fish soup for appertizers. Escargot had a very good garlic and wine sauce and the soup was terrific. My wife had Snapper and crabmeat and I had veal medallions with mushroom sauce that was fantastic. Creme brulee for dessert is a must. Will definitely revisit soon.
We ordered drinks, and never received it, the lobster was overcooked and so was the steak. We did not mention the steak (my guest very reserved and shy to complain) but the lobster was rubbery and at those prices I was not about to put up with that. They never apologized or offered to replace it or discount it. Instead the chef came out in a dirty white t-shirt and started to yell at my lady guest who ordered the lobster. This is in the middle of the restaurant, and the management never said a word to the employee. You do not ever yell at customers. When we said I would like a go box for the steak, the waiter pick it up and puts the bread plate on top of it. I called the owner later that night and all she said was thank you for calling, we never had complains before and hung up on me. The food is very expensive there and this is not the kind of service I would expect. For the price I could have gone to Galatoire's or Mansurs, but living in the area I tried to support local establishment. Needless to say I would never go back and will make sure to let everyone know about the treatment we got.
Chef Brandt does a really good job, particularly on his red snapper and his duck. Salad comes with the meal and the Bisque soup is something that will make you go back just to get that. You need to call early in the week for reservations except maybe on Tuesday and Wednesday. Ten tables and they fill up quick. This man can cook.
