I stopped by Dashi to grab a sandwich before catching my train. When I entered, I asked if they were still open. The man who came out from the back seemed frustrated and didn't say anything. After asking again, I decided to just grab a sandwich. He only told me the price of the sandwich. I also wanted a water, so I grabbed a bottle from his desk and asked if I could have it. He only responded with "sparkling," to which I replied that it was fine. He then sarcastically said "Bubbles," as if I didn't understand English. Despite having a different accent and possibly coming in close to closing time, there was no excuse for his rude and possibly racist behavior. The customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. The restaurant itself was fine, but that particular individual should not work there if they have an issue with people.
Absolutely delicious sushi, super-fresh fairly good value given the high quality. The chap who served me was surly in a way that honestly astounded me though; it’s like I’ve been fisted by Wolferine.
Yesterday morning 16th October) I asked for a bacon roll with no butter was told in no uncertain terms that they only do buttered rolls now because its easier for the staff. I queried whether they were there for the staff or the customers and I was told with a shrug) that it was for the staff!! When I said I would put this on trip advisor she shrugged again and I asked why whether she cared and she said she didn't she was absolutely horrid. She also wouldn't give me her name. I will not use this place again there are so many people in Bath who would value a job like this and this cafe employs rubbish.
