Bidrage med feedbackThe food was awesome. It took a bit for my food to come, but is was great. The service was delivered. The atmosphere gave a picture of Hawa, I loved it. I feel it is a great place to have dinner or brunch. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Crunchy Spam Musubi
Delicious! My husband and I stopped by while waiting for a nearby event and shared an appetizer, a couple dishes, and a couple mixed drinks! The variety was great without being overwhelming and we were really pleased with everything! There wasn't a wait to get in and the layout was very comfortable and allowed for plenty of space between us and the other tables. Some staff were more outgoing and friendly than others but no one was rude or unpleasant and we had a great visit! Looking forward to visiting again soon and would definitely recommend anyone stop by when in the area!
With the news they are closing on June 10th, we knew we had to get over and have one more Hawaiian dinner before they transition to a food truck. We went all out on dinner with a couple of mixed plates and some sides. I always liked their ohana fried rice too so we substituted that instead of regular rice. Their mac salad is some of the best I have ever had. I would order a whole tub of it if I could. As for the mixed plate, the shrimp and chicken are so good! They have a really good flavor and are very enjoyable. My favorite is the Kalua pork though. My advice is to mix it with the rice and it's incredible! As far as the sides we ordered, the fries taste like McDonald's fries. They're very good and I think it's a nice addition to all of the flavors in the main dishes. The pork buns are also delicious and it's a great pairing with the steamed buns. I will miss this spot a lot when they close up next week but I am very excited for their food truck to start up!
It's nice to see that this place was in a small town near the National wildlife refuge. A good 20 min drive. The service was good, the waiter was helpful. The ambiance was slow and quiet. The food was alright. The stuffy for the bun was salty, too much soy sauce. The chicken was really dry and it seem like a small amount. The short rib was oka, hard to eat through. Also, presentation isnt pretty. The mac salad was good. The lumpia was good, but not crunchy. Also, spam and rice was good actually better then most of the dish. The teriyaki chicken looks dry and not really presentable. The shrimp was good, very crunchy. Overall, it was oka, it is a nice restaurant, definitely try if u havent try this location.
The owner was my server today, a special treat for my travels. (I love meeting owners). I stopped in this random little town town half way between Rochester and Buffalo, where you can find authentic Hawaiian food. I ordered the crispy zucchini, Lemon and Honey chicken with rice and salad. It was wonderfully fresh and delicious. Be sure to ask for the story of how this place started. The owner has a great story, inspired by love and athletics bringing Hawaiian flare from CA to western NY.
