The Woodhouse Inn - Bassetlaw

Sunday lunch take absolutely fantastic, every mouthful wash a pleasure to eat. Would recommend this pub to anyone looking for a great Sunday dinner.

If you want a complete dish of food, fresh vegetables, lots of meat and all with friendly service, then come to the Woodhouse Inn. Fabulous sonday lunch, wonderful tasting Gravy and we chose all three meats and got absolutely loads. None of your buttons... here. The manager Stuart is so welcoming and cannot do enough to help. Very recommended.

Steak boiled under, chips tasted like they were heated up from night before. Too bad, because we had Sunday dinner, which was very good.

I ordered a delivery that Pasta marinara they delivered to King prawn Pasta, which I very allergic when I called, they were too busy to sort the problem and had no concern for my allergy on pawns they were too... laborious to take care of or even reimburse the error Really annoyed that they had little concern for sending a meal I allergic to and very dismissed on the phone

Having experienced a few of our local pubs for Sunday lunches, found a few were starting to let us down due to staff changes etc so we were looking for somewhere new to try. Looked up The Woodhouse Inn and booked for 4 for the...fixed menu Sunday lunch at the 5.30pm last booking. We were slightly late so called the pub to let them know we were coming On arrival the table was set ready and Kadie sorted out all our drinks orders and food. No request was a problem and our mains were all sorted and desserts all sorted also to enable us to get our choices ordered before the kitchen closed. The mains came and we had all gone for the standard Sunday lunch with a selection of meats Beef, Chicken Breast and Ham a large varied selection of vegetables accompanied with a large gravy boat. The meals were well cooked, all the meats were great and the veg all warm and tasty. The desserts came and the apple crumble was lovely and hot in its own dish with a jug of hot custard to complete each one. All in all it was a lovely Sunday dinner which is exactly what we have been looking for locally and looks like we have found somewhere we can return to.
