Just had lunch here, standard village pub with no pretences, but great beer and home cooked food that is seconded to none .owner very helpful.well worth a visit, the best mixed grill I have ever had
I had heard good reports and was so pleased we visited. Spotlessly clean, excellent choice of well kept ales, really friendly and welcoming with a varied menu choice too. We will be back! We loved our Polish Goulash
We returned to the Kings Arms with all the family, having been impressed with the food last visit. One member of the family is gluten and milk intolerant which was no problem for Magda and the team to cope with, however the child's portion at £5.99 did seem rather expensive as the 2 year old didn't eat anywhere near all of it, an adults is £8.99 for Sunday lunch. It was a good portion and would have easily fed a 10 year old, maybe they may consider doing a small chid portion for say under 5's, and not many toddlers eat stuffing for example. It was a nice touch to give the little one a gift, and there were biscuits with the tea/coffee, we will certainly return as their food is so good. The service this visit was a little disappointing when 2 other tables seated after us were served before us, and the table was sticky as the 2 year old pointed out!!!
Living in a nearby village, we don't visit this restaurant as frequently as we should. However, whenever we do come, we always receive a warm welcome and the selection of food and drinks is consistently excellent. Definitely worth a visit.
