Purefoy Arms - Basingstoke and Deane

Booked for 4 of us for Fathers day at 3.30pm, confirmed on the website, and telephonically with whomever I can only assume is the manager. Paid a £20 deposit to secure the booking only to find out, upon arrival, that we better get our orders in because the kitchen closes in 20 minutes (at 4pm after we ordered our first drink). We order and were promptly served our food Fathers day in fast forward! They tell you they close at 6 so in theory plenty of time would have been really nice to be told we had 30 minutes before the kitchen closes otherwise we would have booked for another time. I literally ordered the first thing I saw as a main, that's how little time we had.

Another incredible meal at this faultless pub everything from 5* tasting menu to every day fish and chips is outstanding. The staff are amazing and we are proud to have such a place nearby to share with our family and friends.

Lovely country pub, with amazing food and a great selection of drinks available. The staff is very friendly and polite and to top it off the garden is absolutely perfect! The area is already beautiful, but the Purefoy fits in nicely! Couldn't recommend more!

Easily the best meal out in or around Basingstoke for good gastropub cuisine. We made fools of ourselves by having the bread (steaming fresh from the oven) and a starter (the mushroom orzo) AND a couple of sides with the mains but man it was worth it. Pricey, but a real case of getting what you pay for.

Great lunch, fantastic food and service. We had expected this to be good quality, pub style food, however reality far exceeded our expectations. We were simply stopping off on our way though the area, and had our 10 month old with us, and they were very accommodating. Would highly recommend!
