Called in when in the area. Wanted a light lunch and a nice real ale and I wasn't disappointed! Had a lovely, well kept pint of Wainwright real ale and the bowl of chips I ordered turned out to be possibly the nicest chips I've ever had! Thick, chunky, obviously homemade and delicious. Add to that, excellent, friendly service and you have a winning combination! Recommend to anyone. 5*

Went for breakfast and to watch British Lions v All Blacks. Excellent friendly service, as always
