Murphy's Original Steak House

Doesn't look like much from the outside but the absolutely jam packed parking lot should tell you the truth about this place. Insanely popular and the friendliest place I've ever been, it's one to make sure you visit if passing by. The portionscould feed a small family but still you won't leave anything on your plate.

Wow! What an awesome place!! The food is incredible the people were amazing ????!!! Huge portions. No wonder it's been here for 76 yrs!

Birthday lunch with my life long bestie! Hadn 't been here in years! Murphy 's started in 1946, and is famous for it 's 'Hot Hamburger Gravy Over All '! Starts with a layer of white bread toast, then topped with a large, thick choice ground beef pattie,then covered with a huge portion of french fries. And I don 't mean the frozen variety! I mean scrumptious, long hand cut freshpotatoes, the cherry on top is the thick, rich, beefy, brown gravy poured over all! (You can also add cheese sauteed onions ifdesired! The other thing Murphy 's is famous for is their House salad dressing! Creamy and Garlic-ie! I remember eating clubcrackers with house dressing as a kid while we waited for our food! So yummy! Our waitress was helpful and attentive, and mybestie got a free piece of the pie of her choice for her Birthday????! She chose chocolate pie....my favorite is thecoconut-cream pie! You always leave with a to go box for your large portion left overs and a fresh soda pop for the road. Stopon by this historic 1940s-era eatery just east of the Osage Indian reservation! Your tummy will thank you??

So a Bartlesville, OK staple since the 1940's. Famous for their steaks and the Hot-hamburger (what we go for). Fast friendly service and delicious food. Be ready for a wait during the weekend. July 2022 update, took out of state family for late lunch.Hot hamburger's, chicken fried steak and a couple of their loaded baked potato's. As usual everything was delicious and servicewas great.

Was not sure what really to expect, but it was delicious! It seems like a strange mix, but it's really pretty good! The staff is friendly and accommodating. I recommend checking this diner for some delicious comfort food.
