The Grove on Main - Barrys Bay

We had a great dining experience on the patio, and they were accommodating of our leashed puppy. The food was good, the drinks were cold, and we enjoyed a nice view of the lake across the highway. I have not stayed in the suites, but I've heard they are quite nice. This place is also a great stop for snowmobilers.

After reading a positive review on TripAdvisor, I decided to visit Grove On Main and was blown away by how fantastic it was! The latte I ordered was the best I've ever had. The restaurant itself is stunning, with artwork even in the restrooms. We visited on the first morning of our three-night stay and didn't bother trying any other places for the rest of our trip. The breakfast quesadilla was absolutely incredible. We didn't have time to have any other meals there, but we were told that the restaurant was now managed by Ash Grove Inn, although it was not as impressive as Grove On Main. We will definitely be returning next time we are in the area.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Service is lacking - had to ask twice for menus - it took 15 minutes to get them and then had to push the server to serve us even if there were only three other tables who had guests. Despite the poor service the food was good. The turkey club wrap and the quesadilla chicken were full of turkey - healthy portions. It would be a great place to pick up a quick coffee but if you are rushed, you may want to look for another option in Barry's Bay.

The Grove is a great spot to stop in for coffee or for lunch. They serve three different coffees, and are always happy to put on a pot of decaf, even knowing there won't be another request for it! There are always fresh muffins and cookies.Lunch is an experience. The sandwiches and wraps have unusual fillings, and come with soup (homemade of course) or salad.Service is quick, friendly, and personal, and the decor is not your average café.

We stopped on our way through town and split a sandwich/salad with a couple of lattes. The food was tasty and prompt, and they were considerate enough to bring an extra plate and cutlery, knowing we were splitting it. Drinks were average, prices were decent, all was very clean, and we would go back again.
