Higueron Ciros

Terrible customer service, in my case we were invited to leave the restaurant just asking for glasses of water to finish the meal. We had long waits for the food, which is of regular quality, and everything to get kicked out just without having customers waiting outside. There are many better bars/pubs/restaurants options in San Jose, Curridabat and San Pedro.

The place is cozy, and as it has an outdoor part is quite cool. The attention was very fine, several quiet, decent and quite attentive to the needs. It was the first time I visited him so they explained to me about several food dishes. What we order my husband and I, super cool, very rich, delicious to tell the truth: chicken nachos (super gran), cheese burrito with chicharrón, patacones with beans, and all the truth at very good price, roasted and ordered. The only recommendation would be to change the dumpsters that are by the place tree, to better appreciate the tree, and not to shave the view. I liked it a lot, we'll be back.

Going to take a traguito and eating a chifrijo under the Ancient Higuerón that already stopped being old is a super experience. The tree gives a very nice atmosphere to an afternoon with friends or a salidite. The food is very rich, the super varied menu and very good prices. They also have live music and enjoy a lot.

The restaurant was decent, the Chirripo dish was satisfying but not very large, and the Caribbean Chirripo was different from a typical chifrijo soup.

The place is stunning, with plenty of space and excellent service. The prices are fair and the food is delicious. Highly recommended.
