Wimpy's - Barrie

The portions at this restaurant are small and they do not allow substitutions. For example, I was not able to upgrade my toast to French toast. The fried potatoes were mediocre. This will be our first and last time dining here.

I used to come here for their Western sandwich with 4 large eggs. It used to be a massive sandwich and was the best in town. However, the new owners have reduced the size by half and have clearly cut corners by not using 4 eggs. The price remains the same at $13 including taxes. It is disappointing how they are trying to save money by disappointing their loyal customers. The sandwich is now very small in comparison.

The restaurant experience was disappointing as there was confusion between the cooks and waitstaff regarding our order. The menu stated that our dishes would come with salads and fries, but the cooks insisted it was one or the other. When our meals arrived, the potatoes were missing and the staff claimed they were not included. Even when we asked to speak to the manager, we were given the same explanation. Eventually, the potatoes were brought out separately. The salmon and steak we ordered were overcooked and dry. To make matters worse, nothing was taken off our bill despite the poor customer service. This was especially frustrating as we were treating our 90-year-old father to a special lunch.

My friend and I decided to treat us for breakfast and Wimpys at Bayfield in Barrie ON was the place to try. We ordered my b/f got steak and eggs light while I ordered 3 eggs over medium and ALL the fixes. Let us... at the meal I WISH I had a few snappys of!!!? The steak was RAW!!! We sent it back to actually be cooked and there was still RAW!? My eggs were fucking casual as in my plate runny... domestic pommes were light as poured out the can they were sure not REAL potatoes!! The bacon on my plate good... I'm sure it's squeezed when I put my fork in it. I returned ALL the food and politely asked that these articles be removed from our bill, and they were. The servers decided that they could be very short with us now and as if we were those who had done something wrong. When we have the rest of the bill to pay and go and to our survivor it was $15.32?! That's right $15.32 for 2 orange juice at $8.58 1 coffee at $2.49 and a tea $2.49 and YES that is without a leak of food!!! If we got the food, we cooked properly... DIESES Breakfast would have good over the $50 brand....

Service was nice and the food was good. Coffee, on the other hand, tasted like dish soap. Never happened before though.
