The North Restaurant - Barrie

The North has been a long time favourite. They have an amazing menu, amazing staff, and a beautiful quiet environment for a nice intimate night out!

We travelled to Barrie from Toronto for a wedding and this place was recommend to us! So unbelievably impressed. The oysters were so fresh, we had the lamb and scallops, both were beautifully cooked. Our server, Ivana was very competent, polite and made our experience feel special. Our new fav place in Barrie.

This is our favourite special night out spot. The service is always fantastic, the food is AMAZING, and it’s such a great atmosphere. This last time, we sat out on the patio and it couldn’t have been a more perfect night!

My wife selected The North Restaurant from a Google search and liked the menu. We met good friends there for dinner on a Thursday evening. Parking was available just outside. We walked in to a very friendly place greeted by the staff. We were seated right away and ordered some very nice wine. Our server was very polite and experienced regarding the dishes being served that evening. However, only a few of the menu items were available and other dishes were being offered. All of which sounded very good.I had the swordfish with risotto, couscous and red cabbage. Each ingredient in its own flavourful sauce. I know I stopped a couple of times to tell my wife and friends how good my meal tasted.My friend had the baked chicken with asparagus on risotto.We all left The North Restaurant pleased and satisfied. We also agreed that we would make this a good place to meet and eat.Cheers

They made my daughter's birthday and surprise engagement wonderful.Service and food are better than any place in Toronto.It is my new goto for any special event.
