Scratch, Italian Eatery by Cordinos

Stumbled upon this cute little restaurant downtown and decided to try er out - glad we did! Food is fresh and made from scratch, I had the chicken parm sandwich which was just awesome! the Caesar salad had soft, homemade croutons, real bacon and we left feeling full but not heavy/blah feeling. Staff was friendly, helpful and a very good host. Prices were about what you'd expect - $15 ish for the meal w side and drink. Definitely worth the visit! We'll be back!

This is not a sit-down restaurant. You place your order and the food is prepared fresh. I had the Alfredo which was a bit different on bow-tie pasta but the sauce and cheese were amazing and piping hot. My husband had the chicken parm sandwich and the meat was excellent, the breading light and the bun very fresh. The portions were a good size. The service was very friendly. I would definitely go back! Great lunch spot and very good pricing.

It was hard to tell when walking into Scratch exactly what to do. There was no real welcome or explanation from the staff. The place was empty so we had no clue. Menus are on the tables but I think it is more like a fast food set up where you order from the posted menu on the wall.The food was okay, although I'm not sure about the lasagna which had strips of beef, brisket? It tasted more like roast beef. The only pasta option was bow tie which would be the last thing I would have with meat balls or chicken parm. Although we were the only patrons the staff had to be reminded about our order. The special did come with a salad. Both the chicken parrn sandwich and the veal sandwich were luke warm.

Great new little spot in Barrie. The food was fresh and the portions massive. I am looking forward to going back.

We have now been twice. If I could put more then 5 on here I would. Location is great, atmosphere is great, the service is amazing (people are so nice) and the food words just cannot describe. I love local business to begin with as they do make the city different from everyone elses. This place is just great both times we have been in its just been great very friendly and you can tell they appreciate their customers. The food is beyond words. 1st time it was sausage on a bun... I had to tear my husband away from the wrapping the food was in because it still had sauce on it lol. 2nd time we got the godfather amazeballs. Both times we got a greek salad fresh food the tomatoes pop in your mouth. Our 2nd visit we got cannolis so good. We will be back and back again. The food is wonderful and fresh. The experience overall is just amazing!
