A & W - Barrie

Service was BEYOND rude you at all levels you can not train a whole staff to get better clear that this comes from the administration. This restaurant needs either new property or management.

I went to this place several times with my grandchildren and have always found that despite the indication that I want the food hot, it is always lukewarm. I went through the ride yesterday and asked again specifically that my food is hot and fresh. I ate my food in the parking lot, my burger was hardly warm and my frits were cold. I'll give NIE my business back to this restaurant. I'm done.

I screwed up the order and forgot that I sat on site for over 30 minutes. I came home and not what I ordered. A burger, rings, root beer is an impossible task at this point. Easily solved elsewhere. This was a second chance for this place I last visited over a year ago. A W company should look hard at this place.

Driving through Barrie on Mapleview Drive and saw the familiar A W sign. Decided to go through the drive through, as we were making time on a trip. First thing that greeted us was a sign on the order speaker box saying that they were accepting... cash only . They were not accepting debit, or credit cards. We ordered onion rings and a large diet Root Beer drink. There was only one vehicle ahead of us and it did not take long to get to the order window. Then, we got our drink and waited for the onion rings. This after paying $8.22 in cash. The onion rings took a while, longer than usual at an A W. We 've been to many A Ws through the years; in fact we know a couple of people who have owned A W franchises. So we are not strangers to A W. We drove away with our onion rings in an A W bag. Right away, they looked different. There was hardly any breading on these onion rings and what was there was dropping to the bottom of the bag. The remaining onion rings, were unlike any onion rings we have had from any other A W. The quality of our onion rings made me think that an unsupervised beginner had cooked and I use that word loosely them. Definitely not up to the excellent quality standards we expect and have got to know with A Ws. I also think that our drink was a regular size, not a large size that I had requested. We would try this A W again, but only on an eat in basis. We did not receive a receipt for our paid for order, nor did we receive napkins in the bag. I think this A W needs a mystery guest inspection.

Been here a few times over the years and always pleased with service and food. They go out of their way to ensure all is too satisfaction. Bathrooms could be cleaner but better than most places. Mostly accessible but not 100
