Amano Italiano - Barrhead

I went with my son and a good friend to celebrate her birthday. We ordered two starters and three mains, which were decent but not outstanding, especially considering we were charged £73 for the à la carte menu. After stepping outside, I noticed we could have enjoyed the same dishes from the pre-theatre menu for a much lower price. I felt misled that we were only presented with the à la carte option and believe they should have informed us about the pre-theatre menu as well. While the food was nice, it didn’t justify the high price. We didn’t order any alcoholic drinks; just iced water and three cans of juice. As for the service, I can’t comment much since we had to wait a long time to be attended to and then experienced another long wait for our starters. I see the restaurant has changed from Amano to Mamma Mia. I still wouldn’t choose to visit again; I was not impressed.

This restaurant is excellent! It has a nice size, attentive waitstaff, and offers delicious, fresh food.

Excellent value with delicious food, and the staff is very attentive.
