Unfortunately, some customers are quick to criticize without considering the hard work of the hospitality staff. It is important to remember to treat them with respect. I witnessed a couple being rude to a young staff member, but she remained professional and handled the situation admirably.
Lovely morning for breakfast, only serving the buffet breakfast but it was nice. Claire was really accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us.
I previously left a 5-star review for this restaurant, but today was a different experience. There was no staff present when we wanted to place our order. I asked a lady sitting down (who turned out to be a dining room assistant) if she could help, but she said she had not started yet. We waited for 10 minutes with a child for someone to attend to us at the carvery or at least to let us know how long we would have to wait. By the time someone finally came to clear our table, my cup of tea and two meals were cold. The dining room assistant seemed disgruntled and did not ask if our food was alright. She left a mess on the table even though she knew we were having desserts. I had to shout and request for a clean up. She quickly wiped up the mess with tissue paper, but it was not completely clean. We are regular customers, often coming in large groups, and we are hoping to have our usual amazing dining room lady back. If she has left, we may have to reconsider. The service and cleanliness were shocking and unacceptable.
Food was absolutely gorgeous! Alison and ruby were really attentive to every need of ours. Lovley and cosy restaurant and very clean! My children loved the play area. Me and my family will definitely be back! Thanks again Dearne valley staff
We were served by Emma, who was very polite, pleasant, and efficient. The whole family enjoyed our experience and we will definitely be returning in the future.
