Five Bells - Barnet

Five bells stand right opposite the place of my friend and we often go for a few drinks. it has a huge sitting area inside and outside, but I've never seen it full, guessing it's only popular among the natives, as it's quite zagged in living area, unless they live there, they can't even know about it. they have a good choice of beer and wine. eating is not bad either. I had the steak once, but I love the grilled burgers that make it pretty good. the personal is friendly. they also have a lot of offers in the rule (for example: they can double their drinks for only 1.50 pfund extra) they ask the barkeeper for the specialties.

I was thrilled to see a unique menu unlike any other Greene King I had visited before. I tried some chicken, waffle fries, and beans, and they were all delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they even recommended drinks and deals to us.

The portions at this restaurant were too small. I needed to order two meals to feel satisfied, which made it poor value for money. I had steak and chips, but only received a small handful of chips at most.

Went to five bells on Sunday evening, got there with my family at 8.30 in the evening . Went to bar and order drinks and said to the barman is it ok to order food and he replied so 5 mins later went back to the the bar to ordered food for me and my grandchildren to be told by the bar maid SKy that the kitchen had shut this was at 8.40 pm. I checked what time the kitchen shut and it said 9.00. I was really upset as my granddaughters were hungry but she just said the kitchen is shut and I explained that it was advertised that it shut at 9.00 so I did not understand. On another note was in there on the Friday evening with friends and to be told that the cider had run out I feel that a pub which also sell food is not keeping up to its expectations. I am really upset and annoyed with this
