Mixed fry of fish also lukewarm with some pieces of cold fish to the heart, perhaps even not cooked. Something interesting in desserts, special and good. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice place, great for summer-spring events.
The restaurant is well-kept and welcoming, also equipped with outdoor tables to eat in summer. Interesting menu mainly based on fish that brings an anchored footprint to the territory, which reflects on the present what is tradition and at the same time looks to the future using also flavors provided by other kitchens. It is the case of the raw presented in accompaniment with a really superlative lemon granite and sauces with a strong and decided taste of Japanese cuisine. Both the first and second enhance the authenticity of the raw materials used. To try the fish chips fried shrimp, cuttlefish cutter, baccala and potato chips. Abundant, not unified, fragrant and warm. The restaurant also has a good wine cellar with carefully selected labels. Absolutely honest the account that omages water and covered offering homemade bread and focaccia.
This is a place I recommend to go. The owner Lele is a fantastic host with a mixed English gentleman style with the topical south Italy friendly attitude. He is also a great expert of wines and beverages. His wife Anna is a fantastic chef able to merge fusion cuisine and classic “barese” recipes. Her unique menus are tasty and healthy: a perfect balance of innovation and tradition. We were back to Bari to celebrate my mom’ s birthday. Some local friends recommended me this rest. They gave me the right tip because everything went beyond our expectations. All my guests felt comfortable and appreciated the hospitality, the food, the drinks and the services. The dessert (mille foglie ai frutti di bosco) was delicious. I will definitely come back with my wife before I leave, for a romantic dinner in front of the sea. It's a nice place just in front of the sea (a road to pass), few parking places, someone under the trees, not definished style of furniture but enough room between the tables to feel comfortable with the restaurant at the full capacity. This good feeling stops when you began to eat the food: not so fresh fish dishes, wrong serving quantity, we ordered a sea antipasto for two and got few canapè with scrapes of tuna and a fried seafood for two and got two bowls full. Not bad the price tag: 25 euros/person (included two kids)
One of the best experiences in Puglia i have had. Every course was superior to the other and the service was complimentary to the food the whole way. I would love to return and try more from their menu!
