The chef here seems to have substituted clever presentation and ingredients for flavour. The bread was excellent, the Soave wine very acceptable and some of amuse bouche were tasty. All 6 of courses of the set menu I had were, however, bland and tasteless. At over £200 for two people this was poor value and a long way from what I’d expect of a Michelin starred restaurant. I’d eat at a local trattoria instead if I were you!
Whenever we travel we like to experience a fine dining venue, and so it was during a holiday to Garda we decided this was the place. We opted for the 8 course taster menu accompanied with the wine flight, so with a little introductory course and a final course of hand made sweets to accompany our coffees, it ended up being 10 courses. Our culinary journey was a taste sensation and the style of the Chef, Fabio Codella, was as described 'Individual ingredients, a mix of colours and tastes to stimulate the senses '. We also appreciated Fabio coming out to personally meet each of the 6 guests dining in the restaurant that evening. On the evening we visited the restaurant wasn 't busy, which meant we had very attentive service from all the team. At one point we had to slow down the speed of service as its surprising how full you become even with a taster menu option. The other point was, with only 6 guests in the restaurant, and being based in an open plan hotel terrace/conservatory overlooked by rooms and hotel guests, it lacked the fine dining atmosphere and intimacy of other similar establishments. Thank you also to Barbara our Sommelier whose choice of wines to accompany each course was exceptional. The cost was €554 which also included the wine flight at €100 per person and a service charge of €50. Many thanks to all the team for a lovely and memorable evening.
Ristorante con una dozzina di tavoli sulla veranda con vista sulla piscina dell'hotel. Buon servizio. opzione per scegliere più menu a prezzi che vanno da a euro. abbiamo optato per il menu a terra. Ci sono piaciute davvero i piatti di carne. sicuramente provare
Si può rimanere impressionati solo dopo una notte di cordella. servizio top per l'attenzione, l'eleganza e la cortesia. e tutto ti rende confortevole. percorsi articolati e dettagli tra gusti, combinazioni e colori. cantina eccezionale. il prezzo ovviamente va di fronte a tanta attenzione e professionalità.
