La Veranda Del Color - BARDOLINO

Ho soggiornato con mia figlia e mia mamma nell’albergo Color a Bardolino, molto carino, e una sera abbiamo riservato al Veranda che si trova nell’interno della struttura.Ambiente molto piacevole e rilassante, ci siamo deliziati con le proposte dello Chef accompagnate da un ottimo vino.Siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi, ottima cucina con menu di tutto rispetto, stella meritata.Ottima rapporto qualità prezzo.Torneremo sicuramente.Bravo Chef ci hai veramente stupito.

We arrived with high expectations given this was a Michelin restaurant, we soon learnt it wasn't anymore, and by tonight's standards, it needs to do a lot to get it back! We've been blessed to eat at some wonderful restaurants over the years we love to experience different cuisines and try everything. Sadly tonight on my husband's birthday it was a complete disappointment. Attention to detail is everything! Ordered a reasonably priced wine to be told they didn't have it in stock ?? They suggested an alternative, the same grape, but slightly higher price they charged us the higher price.. think they should have charged us for the one we wanted, they should be stocked up... Food, although pretty was tastless, little seasoning and bland. The service by the waiters just wasn't there, not interested in what you thought feedback. We completely get the other reviews and we don't need to be told we're wrong or we don't understand what the chef is trying to achieve... he didn't achieve, especially at over £200!We had a beautiful meal in Bardolino centre, Piccolo, friendly, great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food. No, it's not Michelin but was so delightful, this was the complete opposite...just wished we'd gone there. Very sad that we couldn't wait till it was over to leave.

Very nice place and great tasting menu. We really enjoyed it. Very pleasant and efficient service in this restaurant.

What can we say. This place was a treat. We are vegan, and were delighted to see the Natura tasting menu. We have had other amazing tasting menus (e.g. Gautier Soho) and are pleased to say that this stands up as a beautiful feast for the senses. On arrival, we loved the decor; not stuffy table cloths but interesting shapes and textures to the furniture and glass wear. We enjoyed the glass ceiling and the surrounding colour changing lights on the hotel rooms ' verandas. As a tourist I like to try the local wine, so the Bardolino Superior was a delightful and light accompaniment, especially as the day was so hot. As to the food wow. The inventiveness was wonderful. Even the bread was excellent. Our favourite was the pumpkin gnocci and it 's delicate sauce with cacao nibs. but it was hard to choose! Even the petite four with caffe at the end were exquisite. I think I did a very uncouth 'happy dance ' in my chair at every course The service was brilliant. We were early dinners on a Monday night, so had full attention of the staff. We (to our shame) don 't speak much Italian, so were very impressed with our the English speaking waiter. We have already recommended this to friends, it was so enjoyable.

Ho recentemente cenato alla Veranda del Color e devo dire che l'esperienza è stata pienamente soddisfacente. Ci sono vari menu degustazione ma è possibile scegliere liberamente 2 o 3 piatti dai vari menu. Ho mangiato delle deliziose capesante con nduja, crema al curry e agretti. Ho continuato con il merluzzo nero e le verdure croccanti. Ho chiuso con un delizioso dessert a base di banana, curry e cocco. La carta dei vini è completa. Il sommelier e i camerieri sono preparati ed efficienti. La location è molto elegante e curata. Non c'è il tovagliato ma i tavoli hanno un design particolare e sarebbe un peccato coprirli. Il ristorante dispone di un parcheggio per i clienti. Questo particolare è molto apprezzato da me. Il conto, infine, è adeguato al livello del locale. Ritornerò sicuramente. Peccato solo che non si affacci sul lago...
