Lokura - Barcelona

A very non-flashy local place, with an EXCELLENT menu. It is tucked away in the Sants/Hostafrancs neighborhood, and is definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to. To start with, the server was nice, and attentive. She did a great job recommending the dishes, especially what became my favorite, something like small fried wraps with oxtail inside (sorry I forgot the name of the dish) on a bed of vegetables, Asian style. Ordering three plates will be enough for 2 adults, and be prepared for a very inexpensive, although top of the class meal. Beer is less than 2 euros, and so is the “carajillo”. [people, do NOT change that]. The Bravas Lolo can almost beat the famous bravas from Bar Tomas. Superb, with plenty of sauce, a good spicy oil on the side and the potato fired to perfection. Half ration enough for 2. The “croquetas” were a little disappointing, tasty but too dry; some bechamel and less breading would greatly improve them. They should improve their webpage, including the full menu and pictures of all the plates; that would attract even more people.

Best bravas in town. Whether you are already a bravas fan or you haven't tried them yet, this place is a must. They serve bravas in a special and awesome way, so don*t expect any boring potatoes, be prepared for a new bravas experience!!!
