Fet D' Ara - Barcelona

My wife and I were walking towards Arc de Triomf to visit. She had already planned to stop by another restaurant on the way, but they never acknowledged us so we left after waiting five minutes. We were hungry and stopped by Fet D’ Ara. All the pastries in the window drew our attention. After walking in we recognized it was a cafeteria style. The staff was friendly and took our order right away. We split a sandwich, pastry, and 2 double espresso’s all for 8€. Great price. I waited for the items to be placed on my tray and took them to our table. Since the egg sandwich was still heating, an employee told me she would bring it to ur table when ready. The food hit the spot and we were re energized to continue our site seeing. I would stop by again.....

Super little cafe with great service and helpful staff, got trapped in here in a rainstorm, the staff were very helpful with our little spanish and their little english we got hot coffee and pastries

My friends and I got the Paella for lunch, which was not very expensive. The restaurant itself was nothing special, especially with paella all over, but the worker was nice and the restaurant was in our vicinity. I'm not sure if I would tell my family or friends about this place if they were to come to Barcelona, but it made for a pleasant outdoor lunch.

We went to eat the offer dish of the day that includes 1 plate of hot food, 1 water or beer and 1 coffee. The waiter came and brought us our food with a small beer spit half over the tablet. The food (pasta with meat) had a horrible rotten smell and also when tasting it you could see that something was wrong with the food. In a nice way we told the waiter that something is not ok and she was not surprised at all. We asked her to change our plate. But then came the worst part, we waited outside for 25min and she didn 't bring it. After that time we went in to ask again for it and she said that she will bring it. 15 more minutes passed and we still didn 't get our food. Finally, we went in again and she said that she has forgotten about our dish. We told her that we want our money back and that we can pay for the small beer we had. However, she didn 't want to give us the money back under no circumstances. So we left the place very disappointed having payed 10,40€ for 2 very small halfway empty beers. Please don 't go to this store, service and food is horrible! Fuimos a comer la oferta plato del día que incluye 1 plato de comida caliente, 1 agua o 1 cerveza y 1 café. El camarero vino y nos trajo la comida con una pequeña cerveza escupida sobre la tableta. La comida (pasta con carne) tenía un olor a podrido horrible y también probando se podía ver que algo no estaba bien con la comida. De una manera muy agradable, dijimos a la camarero que algo no está bien y no se sorprendió en absoluto. Le preguntamos a cambiar nuestro plato. Pero entonces llegó la peor parte, esperamos fuera durante 25 min y ella no lo traje. Después de ese tiempo fuimos en volver a preguntar por la comida y ella dijo que lo traerá. 15 minutos después todavía no conseguir nuestra comida. Por último, fuimos de nuevo al dentro y nos dijo que ella se ha olvidado de nuestro plato. Le dijimos que queremos que nos devuelve nuestro dinero y que podemos pagar por la cerveza pequeña que teníamos. Sin embargo, ella no quería devolvernos en ningún caso el dinero. Así que nos fuimos del lugar muy decepcionado de haber pagado 10,40 € para 2 muy pequeñas cervezas que estaban a mitad vacías. Por favor, no ir a este bar, el servicio y la comida es horrible! Verfaultes Essen und der schlechter Service!!! Nicht hingehen!!!

We had a nice tea and coffee break there. Tasty pastry and friendly personnel. The service could be better (we had to ask for cutlery because they forgot, when asked for tea we were given black tea, no alternatives were offered) but overall we liked the place. Would not go there specifically but easily could visit again if happened to be in the area.
