Bidrage med feedbackDuring our recent trip to Barcaldine, we stumbled upon a hidden gem called Cafe Crema owned and run by Mandy. Mandy is an amazing cook and her food is absolutely delicious! The cafe is only open for dinner on Tuesday nights starting at 6:30pm, offering a set menu for $20 for 2 courses. Mandy cooks whatever she feels like that day, and it is excellent value for money. She is very friendly and her menu changes daily with a special dish that is always exceptional. We enjoyed our meal so much that we even went back on our way back from Winton. We highly recommend Cafe Crema, you will not be disappointed!
We stopped by this restaurant for lunch before departing Barcaldine and we were delighted by the delicious food at reasonable prices. The chicken open sandwich and lemon meringue pie were both very flavorful. The staff was also very friendly.
If you're looking for a hearty breakfast, this is the place to go. The food was delicious and the coffee was also great. It's a family-owned business, so show them your support. It's definitely worth it.
This is a nice clean air-conditioned coffee shop in the heart of Barcaldine. It also has an attractive selection of arts, crafts and home-made jams etc. If you like talking with the locals (and who doesn't and she's not too busy, the proprietor (Mandy? is not averse to pulling up a chair for a conversation. It's an impressive little establishment, enhanced by good old western hospitality, as if Mandy has invited friends around. A very pleasant experience.
Visited this gem of a cafe twice now, and both times had excellent coffee (the best between Rockhampton and Longreach! and cannot reccomend the filo-pastry parcels enough- especially the tandoori chicken ones. Absolutely amazing! Service is on the Queensland side (don't head in if you've only got 2 minutes to spare but incredibly friendly and very thoughtful. I will plan my routes to go through Barcaldine especially in future!
