Fratelli's Italian - Barboursville

Went again this evening. Service was great. Food came out fast and hot. It was delicious! Of course, we take a lil home for the next day so that we can save a lil room for their great desserts! We’ve been a few times. The food is amazing, and the service is great. The Cheese Fondue, Stuffed Mushrooms, and Seafood Alfredo tend to be what I typical order, and they have all been excellent. Specifically, the seared scallops on the Seafood Alfredo are, by themselves, a treat. I’ve never had a bad experience there, and look forward to going the next time.

The food was good with really large portions, had plenty to take home. The service was slow but maybe it was my one server, another server occasionally checked on us. I did not like the atmosphere, the tables and booths have a lot of use to them and my seat cushion at the booth was all cracked open and itchy on my legs. Some interior updating could help this place because the food was good and at the price point of each dish (most were over $12) I would hope to feel clean and comfortable while eating in. It appeared to have a lot of regulars from the older crowd who come in for early dinner, we were there around 345/4 pm on a weekday. The cake display looked amazing!

We ordered from here for take out for the third time today. Other times it was okay, however sauce was always watered down. Today when we got our food there was sauce in the bottom of the bag and the bag almost completely ripped open when we grabbed our food. They gave us the wrong salads, eggplant was raw and to top it all off, my boyfriend’s food had a HAIR IN IT. Needless to say this is is the last time we will be eating here.

It was OK. Service was really good. The cheese fondue was OK but the toast that went with. It wasn’t very toasty. The lasagna was kind of soupy, the Alfredo sauce was good, and the chicken Parmesan chicken breast was tough to cut into.
