Wok King Chinese Resturant - Baraboo

My wife and I eat here about every 2 weeks. They have great Governor's beef. The wontons are excellent, nice and crisp with a delicious filling. The lunch menu is reasonably price with large portions that give me an extra take out meal. The food is always fresh with nice crispy vegetables. I don't know how anyone can say that the food is made up in advance. Very good egg rolls also. The staff is small but the service and food quality is excellent.

PRE MADE Portions ! we ordered delivery , there were 6 people ordering. When i got to my Mongolian beef they said they were out of onions so they couldnt make it. I said leave the onions out. They still couldnt make it. hmmm . Then we got to the chicken and broccoli and they said they were out of broccoli. So she ordered chix and vegies. We got our food and there was a ton of broccoli in everything even stuff like the general tso chicken that i prefer to not to have broccoli filler in . Filler as in two broccoli to every one piece of chicken. The chicken was grayish . My guess is it is all pre made and bagged up to re heat. And since they were out of two baggies they couldnt serve the things we wanted.

The pot stickers here were outstanding, egg rolls so so. The chicken with sugar snap peas was not very good at all. Made with the dark meat of. Chicken and over cooked. The eating area was clean but bathrooms very dirty...:

Excellent food and a good price and friendly service. My husband and I can just share a meal. We've been there regularly and for over 10 years. I also know people who have worked there, and they could also be responsible for the cleanliness I care about.

I was just thinking about how much I missed her sesame chicken today. That and some pig workers will make a good day every day.
