Ishnala Supper Club - Baraboo

Got there just before 3, had our Old Fashioneds by 3:30, and sat down to eat just after 4.Incredible atmosphere, beautiful location, multiple bars to choose from. Some people were ordering appetizers, but I couldn’t tell where from. You could just have drinks and appetizers, skip the dinner, and just hang out. The food was certainly above average, but not amazing. The dining room was pretty spectacular, as was the rest of the place. The only bit of a downer was our server who gave off a definite assembly line vibe. She kept removing things from our table before we were quite done with them— breadsticks, cheese spread, and worst of all, my drink. She was quick and I didn’t even notice until it was gone. I think she distracted me by putting my plate of filet in front of me. She should have asked. I wasn’t too happy about it, but It wasn’t enough to ruin what was a spectacular October evening. As mentioned many times the wait can be long, ours was 3 hours. But the Old Fashions and food make up for it. The Roast Duck was best I have experienced dining out. Overall it was a great experience. However my New York Strip got overcooked and I'm not the type to send anything back. To me it tasted like something I could have gotten at outback.
