Bidrage med feedbackBeen here a couple of times now, I like the fact that regardless of the time it seems possible that there is a table available. The bar area does get very busy so you have to get your elbows out to get past and access the Resturant area, might I suggest another entrance. Exiting is never a problem as by the time I have left it's always been much quieter. The Resturant has a social business side to it giving opportunities to those who have suffered some set backs in life. Teaching them about cooking and the service industry and providing them with an opportunity to get back on thief feet. The food is always well prepared and presented. The portion size hits the spot, don't forget your side dishes to enhance your main meal experience. They have a good selection of wines to accompany your main meal. It is a good Resturant which is not too long a walk from London Bridge station so getting there and home again is easily achievable.
Great atmosphere with attentive service. The food was well priced and as to be expected. The Sticky toffee pudding was amazing and highly recommended.
Omg, would come here again in a heartbeat! After eight hours of flying, we got two Long Island iced teas, and a double order of chips. Was amazing! Our waitress and bartender were the best! Thank you so much, London!
After a long day of exploring and jet lag, we found the Brigade thanks to Yelp down the block from our hotel. They recently went thru a rebranding, and revamped their menu (lucky us)! The space itself is beautiful decorated some trendy wall paper paired with warm wood tones. Its inviting, cozy, has a very pretty bar. We were seated in the main dining room where the manager explained to us that the Brigade is a social enterprise. Meaning, they help to employ and educate members of the homeless community in London so that they can lift themselves out of poverty and enter into the food/bev industry. Great food with a great cause, SIGN ME UP! On to the food it was VERY good. We ordered two local beers. I loved mine, it was a mead style that wasn't too sweet, but perfect to wash down all the noms. We started with sourdough bread. This was perfectly toasted and paired with butter topped with crystalized salt. YUM. We also had roasted bone marrow and the cornish rump of beef. The bone marrow was good but it was the beef that really blew me away. Brigade uses local London ingredients and this beef was no exception. It was perfectly cooked to rare and I enjoyed every bite. We also got a side of chips, because carbs are life. These chips were SO GOOD. Admittedly, we came to Brigade because we saw a photo on Yelp with fish and chips, which they no longer serve. So happy we ended up here to explore the menu, as a meal filled with carbs and beef is always on my favorites list, and it was no different here. Service was super friendly, and we ended up getting a discount on the bill because they had a promotion going on in November. Double win!
Nice spot for a quiet breakfast and a pot of tea. Seats by the window are great for people watching. The avocado toast comes on a good slice of sourdough, topped with poached eggs and sriracha. Eggs were perfectly cooked and had the prettiest orange yolks. Recommend.
