Our experience at Jack Russell Brew Pub in Bar Harbor was disappointing. The prices were quite high, and unfortunately, so was the quality of the food. We waited a long time for our meals, and even after finishing our appetizers, it took forty minutes to receive our main dishes. My friend, who had previously enjoyed the crab cakes, recommended them to me. Despite my hesitation as I don't usually like blackened food, I decided to give them a try. When they arrived, they were significantly burnt. I asked for them to be sent back, but the waitress returned insisting that the cook said they were fine. After a somewhat confrontational exchange with the restaurant manager and cook, we ultimately left without eating our meals. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for them.

Nedean, our server, was knowledgeable about gluten allergies and was able to recommend suitable menu options for those who are gluten-intolerant. The menu also clearly identifies gluten-free dishes.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My wife ordered the clam chowder with a house salad, and I had the steak in peppercorn sauce, which was accompanied by garlic potatoes and was very tasty.
