Weidlich Food Store - Banyule

I stopped by for coffee and lunch. The food was served quickly and tasted fresh. The coffee was excellent. I will definitely be returning.

I had a wonderful discovery today at this restaurant. The bacon and egg frittatas were fantastic, and the berry and banana smoothie was delicious. The service was excellent and I really enjoyed the interior decor.

Having a local restaurant just around the corner is convenient, but I was slightly disappointed with my experience. The coffee seemed to be popular among other patrons walking their dogs, but the tea was not up to par. Our meals were average, with the smashed avocado being the highlight while the scrambled eggs were a bit odd and overly salty. The noisy atmosphere inside due to poor acoustics drove many diners to sit outside. However, the outside tables were unstable and in need of repair. Despite this, I plan to give the restaurant another chance due to its close proximity to home, hoping for a better experience.

Read a review in the Age. Thought I would take a look. Don't bother unless you like being in the company of yummy mummies. Tried to get lunch. "Sorry but we only really do breakfast and then only until 11.30 a.m.". Apparently longer on weekends. Photo does it justice as it is a big barn with a concrete floor. I can only imagine the noise when it is busy. Very very limited parking.A huge Oregon table is an interesting feature.

Unpretentious and friendly service greeted me on my arrival to this incredibly converted Milk Bar. The reclaimed Oregon timber communal table help up on an old railway bridge is just WOW! It's almost 10 meters long!! Lovely Red gum surrounds the outer seating tables . I had a freshly baked veggie roll consisting of 3 cheeses and roasted veggies in middle eastern spices!! Yummo! I particularly enjoyed the coffee which was The Moka blend from family run roasters Yarra Coffee in the Yarra Valley. This isn't a 3 star Michelin restaurant but it's honest and fresh cafe food. Really nice sweet treats to including Beautiful Vanilla Slices from French Lettuce in Carlton!Highly recommend this place , I'll definitely be back !
