Just great. Better than that. Many of the Michelin rated restaurants in Europe. No preference, beautiful location. Worth waiting.

Nice, quiet atmosphere. Staff Hope and Lynsay were welcoming and professional. On recommendations. Very knowledgeable about all offered articles. My husband warm Brussels salad and his veal were excellent, My Tuna tartar and Duck 2 ways were both delicious. We've been free of alcohol for over 600 days. My husband enjoyed Becks alcohol-free our breads and dessert cheese plate and figs equally skurril. Fine food that is inventive and not pretentious We visit every time we are in Banner Elk

They don't advertise. No billboards. No road sign. Miles from each main road are deep in a hidden valley with Grandfather mountain in the background. But they are booked for weeks. That tells you everything you need to know. This place would easily qualify for 2 Michelin stars if it were in a Michelin ranking city. The interior is rustic (but does not smell like a barn) and the food is impeccable.

We dined here for the first time the other night. The food was great. Pre fixed menu with plenty of options for meet eaters and vegetarians alike. The restaurant was full both inside and out. There is a back terrace by the creek that seems pretty cool but we really enjoyed the ambiance inside as well. Rounded out the night with espresso martinis and a tour of the wine cellar. Good stuff! ??
