Bidrage med feedbackImpeccable, that's what this place is. Everything was flawless and luxurious, the food, the service, the atmosphere. I can't recommend it enough. Expect to pay around 3,300 baht per person for the 8 course lunch menu (includes taxes and service charge). You can enter Siam Kempinski Hotel from Siam Paragon by the ground level where you cross the road or from levels 2 or 3, where there is a connecting bridge.
All modern Thai restaurants should learn from Sra Bua. Using modern techniques to elevate the dishes but the basic flavours must be retained. Overall, I had a really good punchy meal without feeling overly full. Slight faults would be the red prawn carpaccio being not served cold enough, and the tempura lobster was overcooked. Basics that are unacceptable at this level. The non alcoholic drinks pairing was rather pricing but interesting!
Incredible food, stunning restaurant. We also really appreciated the option of alcohol pairing (instead of wine), as neither of us were in the mood for wine. Lovely idea! Service is attentive, but is nowhere near the level of European Michelin starred restaurants (things like putting plates on the table at the same time for all guests, better descriptions of the courses, or sticking to the same main server for the whole evening). These are all minor details that do not take away from the lovely food and experience. Reasonably priced in the same price-range as other Michelin starred in Europe (so a bit more expensive than most Thai starred).
2000 nzd wasted on dinner here. Everyone in the group was sick the next day....
