Albert bakery is a small bakery in frazer town which serves delicious sweet and savoury items .My favourite is the crispy naan filled with khoya and the mutton keema samosa the puffs are also good .The baked egg sweet is another must try item . The puri filled with sweet halwa is also something that i recommend . It is pocket friendly, and there are still many more items to enjoy. Its a must to go to Albert bakery if you are in bangalore.
Albert Bakery, Frazer Town, Bengaluru<br/ <br/ Heavenly!!<br/ <br/ I 'm from Mysore, during my childhood there were no fancy bakery items except Puff, Honey Cake and Dil Pasand. All these years I have been eating Dil Pasand at many places in Mysore Bangalore and reviewed it also. All those Dil Pasand I have had eaten so far was with coconut, cashew, tutty fruitti filling inside. So this 'Khova Naan ' which is just similar to Dil Pasand was a pleasant surprise for me.<br/ <br/ I had been hearing a lot about this place, 'Albert Bakery ' but my place on road is 'Bangalore-Mumbai ' flight journey away from my place so couldn 't able to try it till few days ago! Though I had visited once last month, khova naan was over by that time so came back disappointed. I never leave even the smallest desire of mine unfulfilled so went there again next week and delighted to relish this culinary marvel! It 's available only on takeaway but I couldn 't able to wait another 'Bangalore-Mumbai flight journey ' time, so opened the packet right there and had a bite, the very first bite was heavenly. There were 6 pieces, before eating I thought of eating one and giving rest to my friend fearing the calories but after eating one, whole plan got reversed, I had 5 and my friend had one! <br/ <br/ I described the same to my foodie friend back in Mysore and after 2 days, he came all the way to eat this, both of us went there exactly at the bakery opening time and got one. Khova Naan was hot and oozing out ghee from it, it was altogether a different experience, it was good but made us feel heavy as ghee wasn 't settled down. We took rest parcel and my friend had it one piece each after every meal even on never day I personally felt it is best eaten after few hours (I have attached both pictures) as the ghee gets along well with khova by that time, may be that 's the reason they serve that only for take away.<br/ <br/ It 's a small place few decades old so don 't expect a fancy ambiance, service is super fast. 100rs for one full round but worth it. I highly recommend this!! <br/ <br/ Taste: 5/5<br/ Ambiance: 3/5<br/ Service: 5/5<br/ Value For Money: 5/5
For folks in Bengaluru, Albert Bakery is as legendary as it could get ! I have lived in this city for more than a decade now and I don’t know why or how I did not end up going here, but I finally did as part of Bangalore Bakery Walks which again is something that I initiated to explore legendary bakeries like this in the city. This was the second walk after the first one at O G Variar which was a fantastic experience as well.
Budget friendly and delicious !! I recommend the chicken samosa the egg puffs good as well this place has been around for years and is still the best at savoury treats xx
