Bidrage med feedbackThe food was okay, not great and not bad, but it took forever. We asked for a second order of Tempoura halfway through our meal and it took over 45 minutes to get it and the restaurant was almost empty until this time, maybe 5 tables. The whole lunch for a quite simple order lasted two hours, which is unacceptable, especially on a good ski day.
I don't know how this place has so little traces? We encountered it when they opened and had the Tonkotsu wheels, the rivals of every knight in Denver, spicy edamame, which was good, and the spicy tororoll, which was also great. The prices were also on the spot. Better than any food from our CO slopes, which is essentially cafeteria. Look at it.
Was the food? The answer is yes. It was a nice change to get some decent ramen and some Elch Sushi (very good) on a ski slope. It's just about the service being exceptionally slow... if you want to ski and go back to the pistes, maybe that's not the best pitstop for you! That said... I applaud the resort to think outside the box and bring a knight/sushi restaurant to a ski hut!
Fresh, delicious sushi. But, Ramen? Not enough broth. Egg is an extra charge and was served cold? also a bit to runny. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. Hostess and our waitress were very gracious, but other employees were close to that when we asked about our Louise Plus Card discount. Note: Hostess said it would be applied. When the bill came, the discount did not show the entrance. So we asked about it and were told by another employee they don't offer. This has proved to be misleading. The email reception you receive with the Plus Card shows the correct amount with the applied discount.
A very surprising sushi place. A very cozy restaurant in the main chalet where this restaurant takes over one side and on the other side is more pub like. The california rolls were made with real crab...a first for a person like me who has had sushi throughout their life in multiple cities. The fish is fresh and tasted fresh. Apparently the fish gets shipped here 3 times weekly from vancouver. Service here is friendly and very quick. Portions are on the smaller side but probably better to not eat so much while skiing. Pricing is average. Would still recommend coming here for something different than typical fries etc.
