Cliffhouse Bistro - Banff

The Cliffhouse Bistro is a perfect spot for locals to savor amazing food and service at an affordable cost. Mike, the chef, crafts delectable dishes that cater to dietary restrictions and preferences. The menu is excellent! Our server, Michelle, went above and beyond to guarantee that our dining experience was exceptional. The view from the Bistro, located at the summit of the North American chairlift, is breathtaking. It's a wonderful gathering place for both locals and visitors to indulge in a top-notch culinary adventure. Highly recommended!

This restaurant in Banff is a hidden gem. The Smash Burger and Alps Peppermint tea were delicious, and we enjoyed the beautiful view without being surrounded by too many tourists like in other mountain top locations. The staff at the restaurant were all efficient and friendly. The price was unbeatable in Banff, where everything tends to be expensive.

I have to be honest, the main attraction of this place is definitely the breathtaking views! They are truly like nothing you've ever seen before. Pictures just don't do justice to this place, it's like a little piece of paradise on earth! We dined at the bistro, having made reservations the day before, but since we were first in line when they opened at 11 a.m., it wasn't really necessary. We visited in early October, as the season ends on October 9th this year for those interested. The atmosphere at the bistro is cozy and welcoming. Although it's not quite a traditional teahouse anymore, they do offer a selection of about 8 different teas. We both enjoyed our teas - I had the Masala tea and my husband had the blueberry tea. For our meal, my husband raved about the burger he ordered, while I wasn't a fan of the nachos I ordered. Unfortunately, the cheese made the dish quite soggy and I didn't finish it as I don't enjoy soggy nachos. But the experience of being at 7000ft elevation was truly incredible. They have these cozy Kubikes set up near the edge with seats where you can relax and take in the views. It's a perfect spot for Instagram-worthy photos, a romantic proposal, or wedding pictures! Best views in the area. Delicious food. Big portions. Fair price. Excellent service. Definitely recommend this place for unforgettable experiences.

It is a small place but great food and beautiful scenery. We went in the morning where it was a chilly morning but as soon as we went up we went to get some hot chocolate and food. The place was organized, clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It looked like not much people visit this place but I would say if your visiting Banff don’t miss this little gem of a place.
