Restaurant Weierich - Bamberg

I was traveling with my family around Bamberg, then we ask to an area resident where would be the best traditional Restaurant in Bamberg, where we could try also the best Beers at the same please? He told me a lot of good things and he had showed us the Weierich Restaurant! We had the best experience at this historical Restaurant trying a delicious Bierhaxe and the Bierprobe that consistis in the most traditional Biers of Bamberg at once! And sure, I can't forget the great Staff that treat us like family there tell us a lot of good histories about the city!

We visit this restaurant every time we're in Bamberg. This is where my parents had their special dinners when they were courting 60 years ago. They have both passed on, but when where at the Weierich they are with us. The food is wonderful, and service exceptional. I recommend the baked potato with all the trimmings, it comes with a delightful salad. The Goulash Soupe is not to be missed. This restaurant is a must when in Bamberg - Prost!!!

We ate here on our first evening. The food is very authentic and yummy, big portions, good selection of beers. The waitress was friendly. It gets quite noisy when there are many people.

We found this hotel on our first night in Bamberg and went in by chance and the food was fabulous - in fact it was the best meal of our trip. Very friendly bar staff who helped us understand the menu.

This old-fashioned restaurant is just down from the magnificent cathedral, in the charming old town. Although the bar itself is oddly modern, the rest of the place is traditional bavarian with wood with stained glass and carvings everywhere - hanging from the ceiling, on newels, on walls ... it's a lovely experience to be there. And the food is good too - traditional frankishe cooking well done and not too heavy. Service is good too. It's a great location, and is in a hotel so it might be an idea to check out the hotel too.
