Henrii Gastronomie Gmbh - Bamberg

An outstanding restaurant near the Altstadt in Bamberg Germany. We had the most amazing experience there. This restaurant is an absolute destination in Bamberg. It‘s modern, well designed interior has a very nice bar so you can enjoy some of their excellent Gin and Tonic cocktails they offer while waiting for your table. We arrived early so we could savor this experience. They have a nice selection of innovative appetizers, main courses, noteworthy steaks and desserts. The service was impeccable, very friendly and helpful in selecting our dinner items. They offer some great wines by the glass or bottle to accompany your meal. We had a couple of appetizers before dinner. I had a filet steak as my main course that was cooked to perfection the best steak I’ve had in years! We enjoyed a lovely dessert after dinner followed by some superb whiskey. We’re planning a trip back to Bamberg just to go to this restaurant. Reservations recommended.

We spotted the Henrii from the bridge and headed over to have a drink at their long high table and watch the sun go down. We had a very helpful waiter who spoke excellent English and helped us with our wine choices a glass of pinot blanc and one of Riesling, both good and excellent value, we enjoyed the setting so much we had another glass.

The food was ok, not fantastic but ok. However, the waiters had no time for the customers. Not really acceptable for the price.

When you are tired of the typical roasted pork, sausages, Saurkraut, smoked beer, rude waitresses, and sharing tables with strangers...head over to Henrii. Located in a beautiful spot over the river with great views of the Aldstadt, Henrii serves up consistently awesome food with great service. The steaks are out of this world and the fresh pastas are fantastic. They have an impressive cocktail and wine menu as well. It's my go-to for a nice, relaxed dinner in Bambrg.

My friends brought me there for my 70th birthday in the middle of the Covid crisis. So I was quite pleased to see that this establishment had already implemented 2G protocols complete with a large industrial UV air purifier. The service was prompt and professional and the meals simply exceeded all EXPECTATIONS. At the end of the meal we agreed to that we should make this our Stammtisch for the future
