Mt. Washington Tavern - Baltimore

We had the chance to eat with some friends on Sunday night. Food was pretty good. The place was pretty empty. The service was a little slow and we saw only 1 waitress. At the time there were 4 -5 tables in our area being waited on. We had our meal on the roof top it was really nice. I had the meatloaf and it was delicious . I added a pic below. We will go back.

Great for watching sports and even greater for eating nachos!

The peach old fashioned was amazing. The appetizers were good, and the service was awesome. I wish I knew her name. The short African American woman with the Santa hat. She was amazing!

This was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a really long time. We went in on the second Saturday in December at 8pm and we 're promptly seated. Our drinks and first course arrived quickly and we 're great. The truffle fries were perfectly crispy but a bit lacking of truffle flavor when compared with others I have enjoyed. I had the rockfish entree which was completely delicious. I literally cleaned the plate! My partner had the prime rib quesadilla and was very happy with his choice. I can 't wait to go back and work our way through more of the menu!

I've been coming to this place for decades and really enjoy it. It's good for group events and has a great layout from formal dining to bar snacking. The only knock I have is lately the services has been consistently average at best. Over the past few visits, I haven't felt welcome after I passed the hostess stand. That being said, it's hard to find good help so hopefully that's an outlier and you have an excellent experience. Regardless, the food and spirits are great, and it's such a cute area to meander.
