Mare Nostrum - Baltimore

Fabulous meal from beginning to end! divided tapas and roasted bronzino was like velvet.

That is a byob restaurant. a packet memory is about one block away. mare nostrum is located in gentrified fells point. the ambiente is average, a little loud. the clientel were mostly millennia the whole thema food is Turkish with some Greek supplements. my companion and I ordered filled calamari as starter. four whole body calamari filled with red and yellow paprika, very gently roasted without broth or other coating. original and excellent and recommended. also had the Greek salate (typical, large and good). Companion had whole bronzini, fried crispy. impressive presentation and very well prepared. also ordered cooks that are sharp lamb balls. they get eight gifted meatballs. no dessert ordered. service by ana, a young Brazilian woman, was attentive and excellent. worth is excellent (total bill for two with 20% top was about $118, good value we thought). we recommend this restaurant for a private ritus and the excellent dishes.

Such a hidden gem! this place is never overcrowded to my surprise! it's byob, but the foot is excellent, I could spend hours here. the service has space for improvement, but as long as it is not in a hurry it is worth it.

Always a consistent fun evening. a huge, delicious and varied menu; super eating presentation; attentive service; pleasant ambiente. (clear is one of the turish owners in the marmor shop! and the best weinlist in the city (that is no weinliste; they must / want to bring their own bottles.

NOISIEST restaurant I have EVER tried to enjoy with friends. Food over priced and portions teeny. A $24 mezze platter was barely enough for one person. Each item was about tablespoon and very lackluster. Not much to recommend.
