Selected this hotel after learning it is a related property of my first choice, the Listowel Arms in Listowel, which is fantastic, although booked at the time. The Cliff House was actually a better choice as it is closer to my family here in Ballybunion and right across the road from the sea and walking in Ballybunion city center. The room was exceptional; clean, comfortable and complete with a balcony and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and Ballybunion Castle. The staff is undoubtedly exceptional; professional, attentive, friendly and accommodating. I came clearly before check-in time but a day room and breakfast was offered until my room was finished. I must recognize the excellent customer service of the manager Maggie, who also took care of me and my family when we were with the Listowel Arms last year. I arranged for a dinner of 12 for my local family at the hotel's Cliff restaurant and had a fabulous time. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious and plentiful. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and welcoming. After dinner we enjoyed drinks and music in the accompanying pub, which is also friendly, traditional and welcoming. Thanks to Maggie and the entire staff for a great stay. I recommend the Cliff House and it is related property the Listowel Arms. Please note that the Cliff House is seasonal, but the Listowel Arms is open all year round. Thank you.
