The food was consistently excellent, but the atmosphere was a bit strange. The chef was in the back of the kitchen cooking most of the time and only came out to serve. I imagined a Chefs Table experience as something different with a little more entertainment. However, this is probably due to the one man show that it is. The whole dinner lasted 5 hours, sometimes 45 minutes passed between courses, which is a bit long when there is no one at the table and you can only look at an empty kitchen block. A very good kitchen in Lofoten. Slightly tame service/presence this evening in Lofoten in relation to the layout of the restaurant. Would almost have preferred table service as it was often empty in the menagerie . The food had some very good dishes, but too many were a combination of many flavors. I would have liked more ingredients-based dishes when the title is Lofoten. The wine menu is a bit tame. The prices are too high compared to what you get here. Maybe we were just unlucky with our night. The food is fabulous every course is a unique experience and the chef and his assistant are great company. As other reviewers mention, be prepared for a full evening we left at 11.30pm. Highly recommended! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
